Stereo Install Advice
How much do you actually get from having subwoofers in the boot? i.e. would it be better to have one actually in the cabin? Only the boot is totally seperate from the car, i.e. there is a firewall and so surely the sound doesn't travel as well as in say a hatchback? I am more than likely going to install in the boot, but just wanted some advice.
Also, as I am almost definitely going to be fitting subs somewhere in the car, if I do go for the boot, what way do you get best sound:
1) with one sub either side of the boot facing each other,
2) next to each other at the back of the boot
I am thinking of going for two 8" subs, 450W each. Does this sound enough?
Advice would be greatly appreciated!!

There isn't a firewall between the trunk and cabin. Just a couple layers of plastic. If you vent these so bass can get into the cabin easier it makes a big difference.
When i made my amp rack in the trunk, i left a couple of vents for bass. Then in the cabin, i made holes in the panels ala Lucid and covered them w/ some extra speaker grills i had (even though i have my rears in s-pods). This creates an easy pathway for bass and makes a big difference.
