Stereo Question...

I have an old MTX 2 Channel Amp pushing 250 Watts. I'm wondering can I keep the stock headunit, put new 6.5's in and power the 6.5's with the amp, or will it be too much power?

It depends on the 6.5's and how far you twist the volume knob. Just because the power is there doesn't mean you have to use all of it all the time. The amp will probably work just fine.
