How to remove stock head unit?
my battery died a little while ago and i need to take out my oem head unit to get a radio code from honda, can anybody explain to me how to take it out? Thanks

How to obtain the serial number without taking out the HU:
(not 100% sure this will work on an '01, but 02-up definitely. If this fails, the instructions from lucid automotive worked for me when I installed their rear speakers).
Turn off unit. Press and hold #1 & #6 presets while turning the radio on. The display toggles between 2 screens the first displays a U and the second screen an L. Ignore the letters - that's your units serial # Ex. U1234 L4321 your serial # is 12344321.
Once you get your code from Honda, write it down in 6 different places like I did.

I was lookin to see if there was any little details to make sure i didnt crack the part i have to pry off...thanks for the useless response though.....
thanks alot 1HOTBMW after i read the instructions it took me about 5 minutes to take care of...i also installed lucid rear speakers and new door speakers in the process...big improvment with 4 speakers, now instead of the stock 2...
and sorry again for the newb post, ive never dealed with audio in my life, my friend used to do it all for me cause he loved it so much, he moved away and now i gotta do it...funny how some people waste their time with useless responses though...ah whatever.
