Default stock my04 system

damn the sound on the s2000 is just garbage. If i turn the bass up so i can hear better then its just turns into an annoying drone, and without me turning the bas up i can hear crap. God damn i have never heard such a pathetic excuse. I know bla bla its a s2000, its not a mercedes. But come on now i literally cant hear anything on the freeway without cranking it up and leaving the trebble and bass all the way up, then it just hurts my ears.

what could i do to improve the sound? do i need to change the whole setup?amp,speakers,etc..?
what if i get those oem headrest speakers? anyone have success with those?

I think you need to get your hearing checked out.

Even top down at 90 miles per hour, I can hear my music fine, and I run the bass and trebble "stock."

Is the system weak? Yes, it's not overly powerful... but it's a head unit putting out about 10 watts per channel on a good day, to two very crappy paper speakers.

I think considering the setup, it sounds pretty good for what it is.

If you want more volume, replace the stock head unit and upgrade the door speakers to even some low(er) end speakers and you'll notice a huge difference.

I replaced the speakers, added an amp and sub, and now it rocks!
