Stock Stereo and Computer CD's
I tried playing a music CD that I burned from some mp3's but the cd player just spit it out. My home stereo and my Pioneer in my other car play the cd with no problems. Anyone else have the same experience?
If this happens with all your CDR's maybe try using a different brand of CDR...
thicknesses, though minute may vary and be enough to JOG your cd player back into action allowing the laser to properly read the new types of CDRs you use...
and yes it MUST be a closed session CD...
btw, does it work on ANY? of the type of CDR's you 're currently using or just that one?...Also, don't know what speed you're burning at but I wouldn't go above 2x...
maybe ya might have scratched the TOC area on the inside edge otherwise... just another idea...

I've seen a lot of problems with cheaper CDR's, as previously mentioned, try a different brand. The most successful are with the Sony's.
I have some more info about CDR's specifically with brands manufacturers and where they are all made, etc. Bug me personally and I'll post this info up when I'm not so tired like I am right now. =)

Make sure you are using a good burning program like "Toast" and that the song files are saved as "Sound Designer II" files. Also make sure you are burning it as a music CD.
I have never had a problem with the S2000 CD player and CDRs. Many DVD players on the other hand do not like CDRs.

Check that you are burning the music on to CD-R media and not CD-RW. I'll mention this quote from my Easy CD Creator 4 manual:
"CD-RW media can only be used in CD-ReWritable drives or newer MultiRead CD-ROMs. You cannot play CD-RW in most home or car stereo CD players." The optimum word is the last sentence is MOST. This infers that the CD will possibly play in your other systems, but not on others (such as the car system).
Make sure the CDs are CD-R. And also read the program instructions to make sure you are using a compatible media format. There are a lot of music format variables you can use or change. It's important to use the right ones for successful reading.

I use the Memorex brand and have never had a problem in ANY car.
Consider the brand, and like said above, make sure its a CD-R, not RW.
One last thing, on certain CDs I made, the label I put on them caused them to be spit out by certain car players...

Slightly OT...
Don't ever buy Imation CD writers. I purchased a 4x4x20 CD-RW about a year ago and have had NOTHING but problems with it. To date, I have YET to create anything but coasters. Long story short, called tech support and they were not only EXTREMELY rude and short tempered, they proceeded to blame the situation on me, the computer and enything else they could think of EXCEPT themselves.
Needless to say, the drive sits in my system as a holefiller only, and I don't even have the power cable plugged in.
I would have been fine if they said something COULD be wrong with the drive, but they "assured" me the drive was fine, it was merely a screw loose with the nut behind the keyboard.
I'll buy a bargain basement brand before I ever buy Imation (in fact, maybe that's what Imation is...bargain basement).
<long sigh>
