I've been told to use some surgical tubing to cushion the soft top tray, not sure how exactly it's done (haven't gotten to it yet) but you guys might give it a shot and see what you can come up with...

Hermm... perhaps if I took it out I could line it with a thin foam or something of that nature where it touches the other plastic...That would make sense because when the roof is down I'll bet the pressure from the roof on it keeps it pressed down firmly.

thanks sputnik

Hey something just needs to sit on it and reduce vibrations.

Get creative!

I would love too, but I have a glass rear window, yours is plastic. I am pretty sure that the tray has to stay for me, I could be mistaken.

Man, I wish I could remove it though, it would be like in-cabin bass.

This is what I have..running it at 2 OHMS

How did you get 2ohms out of 1 sub? It would be 2 sub 4ohms bridged to get 600watts out of the alpine. And your amp would overheat after long minutes @ high volume. Mine is a mono black Alipine too runs srtong for about 45 minutes then shuts off ad 2ohms stable.

Some subs have dual 4ohm voice coils, some have dual 3ohm, some have dual 2ohm. A dual 4ohm voice coil would give either 2ohm or 8ohm for the sub once wired. Dual 2ohm gives 1ohm or 4ohms once wired...

Every subwoofer manufacturer has dual 2ohm coils. I'm a fan of Image Dynamics (IDQ series), Eclipse, CDT...
