Post Sub in softop hole?

I have a hardtop with NO softop in my S. I was thinking about puting a sub in the spot where the softop used to be. Is there enough room? Has anyone ever done this before with a custom box? I am looking for some pics of the finished product. Tried search but found nothing. Thanks for your help!

I think that is Deppenma's (sp?) setup. I think he reached 130+db with that setup. I cant remember the speakers he used, but they are not the JL 6w0's....the ones he is using have a higher xmax, I think...

There is someone else on here that is putting a 10" speaker in that well.....I think its a Solobaric, not sure, though. (Sorry, cant remember name.....try search)

Regarding room, you'll have about 12" of depth behind the passenger seat and about 7" behind the driver. Measuring from the weatherstrip to the floor and gas tank.

My box actually stops where the plastic pieces are so I could use the area below the box to hold some of the electronics for the processors.

Tang bang that is correct 11.7mm Xmax one way.

I have serial numbers 40-45. Got them from parts express for $25 each when they just first came out on the market.
