To mount a sub in the cabin requires custom work... there just no real way around it. Its a small car man.

OMG, you guys are not serious about fitting this thing are you? Looking at it's dimensions (15-3/4"W x 3-3/4"H x 9"D) I just went out to my car to measure the space behind the seats....

UNLESS YOU ARE LIKE 5'5 or shorter this mod just ain't going to work - I already barely fit in the car with the seat jammed against the back and to lose 4" would be unimagineable! Maybe when my g/f drives....hahaha but that's about it.

I agree with Darknight- any interior cabin subwoofer would mean serious custom work such as installing one in the center console area but I would never sacrifice my only storage space there either.

That Kenwood doesn't look all that hot either....

My trunk subwoofer right now hits pretty deep and hard and has no resonance or any vibrations so not sure where that comment about a trunk sub being "tinny" comes from???? Plus it is definitely not washed out at 70 mph...haha

But looks like this guy won't be back for another couple years so?

6" sub can be installed in the passenger footwell firing downward. One person done it and it looks very nice too.

Okay, I finally got this thing and installed it. Overall, I am happy with the setup cuz it fills in the bass that I was missing. It doesn't hit hard and loud like a 12" but what would you expect from this lil thing?

I am using MB Quart PCE 216s in the front powered by an MTX 5202 amp and a stock head unit.

This thing does a good job filling the bass in the cabin. I had no clue that a 6.5 inch speaker could produce such lows... It's not overpowering bass and if you turn it up too loud, it will distort. You have to adjust the gain and the frequency to get a good balance. It allows me to turn up the frequency to my mids allowing them to hit tighter and get bass from this thing. Guns n roses -november rain- sounds great. When i play something like Stan by eminem, the bass sounds as deep as my 12"(when they were in the trunk of my audi).

I don't know how the dude who originally posted this could've been happy with this behind the driver's seat unless he was like 5'4 tho.. i am 5'7 and would not be able to have this behind my seat.. you lose 4" of leg room.

I have it just sitting behind the passenger seat and can easily remove it if anyone taller than 5'6" sits up front.. unless it's for a short trip.. then they will have to suffer for a bit..

here are some pics:

Thanks for the pics, s2kday. It's obvious that even this little powered sub is too big to fit properly in the cabin.

If it were my wife's car, I could probably make it work. She likes to sit on top of the steering wheel and there might be room behind the seats. I keep the seat too far back (both driver and passenger) for this set up.

I'm going with a sub in the trunk.

with the seat forward and the amp/sub exposed like that, it would be pretty easy to see if somebody just walked by the car parked and looked in...

Good point... top down. Although, I've yet to let my car out of my sight yet with the top down.

Does it fit in the space in the trunk where the spare tire is?
