Default Suggestions for an amp

sound system pro's.....noobie here

i am currently using an alpine 9853 deck with 6.5 type-r speakers for the doors.

im looking for an amp to power the speakers and i have no idea which amp to get.
i was told to get a 4channel amp with around 500 watts.

would this be a good choice?!?!...if not, what is!?!? i just want something that will make my sound system louder and have a bit more bass.

thanks in advance.

Hands down get a diamond amp. I have 2 of them currently. Might be selling one. I have the d5 600.4. This amp runs at 75 x 4. You can bridge it which is what I am doing and get 150 per side. Let me know if any questions. John

I have been very happy with my Alphasonik amp. It has a little more power than 500watts, but you can look at it as having room to grow John, darkknight1999, sells them at fair prices. There are also smaller models if you want. Can't beat the Alphasonik bang for buck though. Very well made also, internal fans, hour meter, remote voltage meter, remote bass knob and great looks. I run a set of componants on the front two channels and I will put my sub on the rear two bridged at 2ohm. Gonna bang for sure. Here's the specs and a pic:

PMA640HCA
4-CHANNEL HIGH CURRENT
AMPLIFIER
160 Watts x 4 @ 4Ω Stereo
290 Watts x 4 @ 2Ω Stereo
480 Watts x 4 @ 1Ω Stereo
500 Watts x 2 @ 4Ω Mono
825 Watts x 2 @ 2Ω Mono
960 Watts x 2 @ 1Ω Mono

Don't forget the 250w may be the peak rating on your speakers. These are RMS numbers.

I'm running a Alpine PDX 4.150, 600W amp. It looks nice with blue LEDs, small and compact, and performs well.

I can still keep my spare tire and still have trunk space.

Hope this helps.
