Ok fine not 56k beware. i didnt' feel like posting all the links.. but HERE YOU ALL GO!
OK everyone so on saturday my dad and I sat down and took the time to mount the huge 7inch lcd screen (thanks munckee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) into my sunvisor. The only tool we needed.... A DREMELL (sp?) it took about 3 hours to get that mounted and then install the touch pad into my radio door. This is only part #1. we still have some touch up work to do and we still ahve to add the laptop and i'm also waiting for my infrared camera to come in. I thought I would share my pics. Now take in mind that we spend NO money on the install and this is totally home done so go easy
so if you want to see my process then go here.

That thing is gigantic! It's like a big screen for your car
Can you see with it down or is this for sitting in the car?
LOL, I liked the one comment you made about "it is all about being discrete," but it seems like that would standout a little on its own

it is a very big screen for the car
i can see with it down... just not as well. i'd say it takes upabout 25% windsheild. It's a work in progress.

Do you know about the new law regulating video screens?
Here's the basic wording:
SB 209 Under current law, a motor vehicle may only be equipped with video receiving equipment, such as a television, if the equipment is located so that the video display is not visible from the operator's seat. This provision does not cover newer technology, such as videocassette players or digital video disc players. SB 209 adds digital video disc players and videocassette players to those devices that can be used in a motor vehicle only if the equipment's video display is not visible from the vehicle operator's seat. In addition, SB 209 creates an exception for video displayed used to monitor equipment used to service natural gas, water, or electric utilities.
Just be careful when and where you use it.
