I do not know how much are you going to pay for it but I bought and adapter and within a week I knew I made a mistake. I bought a Alpine HU with IPOD capabilities and I so happy now

Thank you!

I almost ruined my ap2 by not removing the center piece. Now my car is awaiting a new HU and cables - to be delivered in a few hours with FedEx.

This DIY is perfect. I'm considering putting the ipod somewhere else though. Maybe passenger side by the air vent. The center console gets very hot and apple warns of temps greater then 140 ruining their units.
