*nods*

they don't handle quite the power of the K2's, but they should still sound great... they have a very similar driver and crossover design.

NFR, yeah, U da' man on this one.

That's a VERY nice system for the price. It's centered around that incredible deal for that amp. For right around 1000.00 he's gonna have a sick system.

BTW where is JMS? Hopefully he's read your exquisite research, and hasn't been bamboozeled by a JL commision vulture.

I'm still here - thanks for all the great advise. Forget JL - I bought the Soundstream D'Artagnan amp online today. what a great deal!

I plan on listening to the Kappas vs. focals this week - finally found a shop that sells both... however I will buy the speakers online since the prices are much better.

I have to give it to you NFR, this sounds like a killer system and it is in my price range. Look forward to putting this together in the next weeks. Thanks man

Just kidding, had to get you scared for a second.

You got a great deal. Actually, one of the best ones ANYONE has ever got here. The equipment is second to none as well.

Are you doing the install yourself (i hope)???

Can someone make a gif logo of that stick figure guy, except for the guy use soundstream, and make it piss on JL. I want to go to e46fanatics (those people own stock in JL or something) and get everyone pissed off.....

Disclaimer......

I knock JL not because they are bad, its because they are a huge ripoff. If you got a good deal on the JL products, then you are EXCLUDED from my banter.

Guys, one more thing....my friend just picked up a Tarantula 1600.2 amp today.
I came over to his house, as I naturally wanted to check it out. Ive never actually seen the 1600, so I was curious......

I kid you not, the amp is about 2.5 -3 feet wide, 1.5 feet tall, and about 3 inches deep. It weighs more than our whole system (I am not exaggerating)

The amp is so heavy (at least 50+lbs).....but beautiful.....

I temporarily rigged it to 2 W7 12"s and it blew the fillings out of my teeth. Simply incredible. Ive never heard something so powerful before, and Ive heard a lot. My next amps are 100% tarantulas.

Here is your solution to mount your amp. I just measured and your amp will fit perfect.

If you would like one let me know. It will cost you $50 + shipping or you can save on shipping if you are going to the Mid-A mod day. Since I will be there and can just bring it down. I will also be available that day to help with installation. The date is April 4.

You also might want to see if the local shop will price match on the speakers. Some shops will do it. If they will then you just saved yourself some time.
