Thanks guys - you are making this easy for me.
I plan on installing this myself, and possibly getting some help from a friend who has done a system in his car before. However, I may have questions along the way so if you all don't mind I may need a little help.
I have one follow-up question at this point. I have not bought a sub yet, however, I wondered if I will have a decent amount of bass with an 8" Sub compared to a 10". I originally thought about a 10" but it seems you all keep talking about an 8". Any thoughts on this? If there is going to be a big difference between the 8" and the 10" I will make a way to come up with the extra money.
thanks
jeff

No problem, thats why we are here....Dont waste your money....get a good 8" sub, such as the one I recommended, and youll be happy. 8" subs have amazing rebound (less excursion which leads to much much tighter and controlled bass response)
In car audio, some of the best sound quality setups, called snowmen....with properly tuned amps include an 8", a 10" and a 12" (hence the snowman) These three combined produce the most accurate bass response. However, since this is not an option, a good 8 is all you need to be happy. If you go 10", let me know Ill get you a good deal on a nice sub. Another main benefit of getting an 8" is retaining most trunk space. 10s eat up more room. With the way I recommended your system, your trunk will look 95% stock.

8"s are generally tighter, but due to reduced cone area and excursion, you won't get the same output... if you're looking to rattle fillings, an 8" won't be your answer... for good low end fill, it will probably do well.
also, like Dave mentioned, it's a lot easier to install and live with an 8" vs a 10".

Just a quick update - in case all of you were wondering. I listened to the kappa perfects vs. focals tonight and decided the kappa perfects sound amazing. I think I'm going with them - as they are the best sounding speakers I have heard yet. The speed shop wants almost double of what I can get it for on the internet and won't price match so I'm going to order from the internet.
Thanks for the thoughts on the subs - I think an 8" might be the answer for now.
thanks guys
