Default Third brake light acting as running light

just got an ap1 a few months ago and have been playing with it. I will properly introduce myself later in the introduction forum. Anyway, back to the topic, recently I replaced the stock brake lights with smd led bulbs. With the led bulbs in place, the third brake light is acting like a parking light along with the tail lights and gets brighter when the brake pedal is pressed. However, with the stock bulbs back in place, it functions normally so I don't think it's a grounding problem. I think it has something to do with the ecu thinking that the bulbs are burned out when the leds are installed or maybe the voltage for the smd bulbs is too low causing a voltage leak? What do you guys think is causing this problem? Any help is appreciated

IMHO, horrible idea. You are going to confuse the hell out of those behind you.
