Default Tool Box Sub Enclosure Wiring

Guys, contemplating a sub in the toolbox area. Just wanted to know how you guys are wiring it? Do you just cut a little bit the carpet and pass through the wire, or is there some other way to get it in there cleanly?

Thanks!

That's what I did. I made a horizontal cut about half way between the bottom and the top of the recessed area. Then just pulled the wiring through, underneath the carpet, and out through the panels in the back.

Yeah, it's unfortunate that it requires cutting the carpet. Wish there was another way.

SO when I did this I drilled a hole in carpet in the well area. This made a nice clean hole which was the perfect size for the wires. At first, I tried cutting a slit with a utility knife, but the plastic material that the carpet is attached to is surprisingly tough to cut through.
