eh, nothing wrong with what you did, if you put a 12inch sub in there that works in that volume then it's fine.

So how does the sub set up you have sound? Like the kinda bass for rap and hip hop or more like something for rock? Any problems with top up or down, or rattling?

Do you think it would be possible for someone to post diemsions of their cover? Also the radius used at the corners would help. I have made a cover but I am not totally pleased with it and would like to make something that fit just a bit tigher and showed off my sub instead of completly covering it.

Thanks in advance.

if you want, i can take dimensions off mine, but the radius might be more difficult. i don't think it's a true circular radius at the corners. i believe it's more parabolic. i have since cleaned up a lot of what you see here - but from the 2nd shot i believe you can see that i actually cut a 15* in the top board to get a better fit with the changing radius of the well.
i made the curve by gathering a number of heavy cardboard pieces, cutting them square, and then slowly shaving their edges until i was able to get a perfect match to the curve. i then traced that curve onto my MDF, and used a jigsaw to cut slightly out from my tracing. afterwards i then used a mouse sander to bring the MDF to match the curve, then took a slight amount off in additon to compensate for carpeting. also, i've left a small gap at the back (of the car) to allow heat to exit as well.

That's a good idea. I will give the cardboard a shot.
