Default Tool well volume

When using fiberglass, what's the most volume one might get out of the tool well without going higher than the floor? I know there is at least 1 cu.ft. in there, but my car is in the body shop while I'm shopping for subs.

thanks,
Parker

If you leave the carpet in then you'll end up with about 1.75cf +/- a little. You can get about 2cf if you remove the carpet and mold it right into tool well.

WOW that much? That's great news as I was just hoping for a little more than 1 cubic foot. Maybe I'll even be able to leave the tools in...

PD Fabrication's tool well box, 3/4" MDF, claims 1 cu ft. So 2 cu ft in fiberglass seems reasonable.

yea, with the carpet out, there is much more room.
i could easily fit 3 x 50 lbs bags of sand ins the tool well.

just keep in mind, fiberglassing the toolwell with teh carpet removed that if you go under the lip, the box will not be removable.
