Top down without the parking brake?
This article is so that you can use the passenger window lock on the drivers side, to temporary disable it, and you don't have to do the e-brake thing. That's the way I understood it. You just flip the passenger window switch, and then press the top up/down switch.
The e-brake method is _so_ simple though. It even has a dash and audible indicator. I wouldn't tie it into another car function. What if you just got your window tinted and wanted to keep the passenger side window locked?
I pushed my speed sensor wire out of the harness (vs. cutting) so just that one wire snapped back in and everything is back to 100% stock.
