Trying to make my own DCI: Anyone have specs for the Dash wire?
I have a Sony head unit that has a HiR infrared interface, so Lucid's Multi-DCI interface does not work with it (nor does PAC's). I tried to order Lucid's Sony DCI (the one the plugs into the wired interface), but he doesn't seem to be able to get any stock of them. So now I'm left with having to create my own DCI if I want the dash controls to work (or I have to buy *another* head unit, something I considered).
The interface of the Sony wired remote was easy to figure out, but I'm wondering if anyone knows what the interface of the Dash wire is. This is the one wire that indicates what control on the dashboard console is being pushed. Is it also just a resistance value?
If this is the case, what's the easiest way to convert one resistance value into another? Obviously, I have a lot to learn about here.
Alternatively, if anyone know where I can get an already-wired Sony DCI, please let me know!
Thanks!

yup.
not surprised at all... the search engine definitely irritates me at times...
luckily, i remembered the threads, titles, and a rough timeframe, so i could scan back quickly through the old posts.
