Default What to buy for my dash controllers(modifry)?

I just ordered alpine cde-103bt head unit and I am in trouble right now.
I have never installed the head unit, so my friend was going to install it
However, after few research, I needed this modifry dci to use the dash controller on my s2000.
It seems like my head unit is IR dci according to modifry FAQ, but do I need to buy this $90 IR dci, And $26 plug and play for alpine, and modifry adapter($12)?
Or do I just need to buy plug and play and just the adapter?
I am very confused after reading some FAQs, so please help me!!

you'll need the DCI and harness if you still want your dash controls by the steering wheel to work. Your HU and stuff should still work without it you just won't have dash control.

the modify dci unit works well- it expands the functions of the dash controls

I had this on my old S and I can say it is easily worth the money. Now i am back to stock radio so now i dont need it, but if i ever go aftermarket, i will for sure pick up another quality modifry piece.

For your head unit you need the IR DCI and either the plug and play harness or the regular harness. Detailed instructions come with it. To make your life easier since it is your first install I would reccommend the plug and play for Alpine head units. It is a real simple install with a little of knowledge. You do not need that adapter harness if you get the plug and play. IMO SCV is just a unneeded luxury since I am assuming you have a left hand to control volume easily. It will be well worth its money.

I agree with F22C S2K. The modifry DCI was possibly the best mod I did to my car for the first year. (came with an alpine head unit)
