Default Turning on/off stock radio with DCI?

I recently purchased a 2006 S. Is there a way I can turn on/off the stock radio through the driver controls? Thanks!

I read that some years could do this using the MODE button. I read it from Modifry's page.

that is for an aftermarket radio, using his DCI. stock controls on a stock deck, I dunno as I haven't had my stock stereo in my car for over a year.

That certainly works when the radio is already on and you need to temporarily mute the music, but I wouldn't want the CD player to keep spinning if I'm not listening to it. I'm just trying to avoid having to open and close the radio cover all the time. I guess I could also leave the cover open always.

I think you may be correct. As a final check, could someone check the owner's manual? I bought my car used and I don't have one. Thanks!
