Default Tweeter Question

I have a 2002 S2K, and have been working on upgrading the speakers and system. I thought about replacing the stock tweeters. I know this can be done from other threads, but I want to know about angles. Has anyone else replaced the tweeters and angled the new ones more towards the seats? I don't want to loose the factory look, so does anyone know if this can even be done? I apreciate any help, even if it is only thoughts or advice.

I've done this by cutting the stock tweeter pods. Check out my earlier post on this. Once I get my car back, I'll post some pics too.

This is only an issue for "On Axis" tweeters. But not an issue for "Off Axis" tweeters. This is a topic of much debate with Audiophiles.

The Honda Tweeter are "Off Axis", and designed to Not point directly at you. Where "On Axis" are.

I replaced the stock tweeters in MY02 with MB Quart .75" tweeters from a component set. they sound some much better then the stock one ever could.

Try changing them out in your MY02 with something "Off Axis", and see how it works. You can also Mod the Pod later, but you can't unmod the pod. @ the Dealer they sell for 56.xx each, and are special order. So it is easier to try this solution first.

This is just my opinion I could be wrong...

mas, sorry to hear about your car! I hope that everything is coming along well with it. I look forward to seeing some pics of your install. I am thinking of mounting some quarts in the pods, and then maybe doing a stealth install in the front windsheild area. I have to decide what kinda money i want to spend though. Thanks for both of your input.
