Default tweeters best location

Well I want to install my tweeters on my car, but I am not sure if I want to put them on the door panel(MY00) or the A pillar. I have an extra set of A pillar plastics so I don't mind cutting those up, thats a main reason why I want to install them there.

Will I be giving anything up by installing the tweeters on the A pillar, instead of the doors ? Will it sound off or nothing at all ?

Thanks,

Vic

I have just removed my tweeters from the a-pillars. I have been experimenting a little bit with different tweeter locations. I am using Focal TN-52 tweeters. By flush mounting these tweeters to the a-pillars, they were actually aimed at your mid section. It would have been better if the tweeters had some sort of swivel-flush mount cup.
I have moved the tweeters to the stock tweeter location of my '05 doors. This is a very big improvement. Even though the tweeters are now mounted 10 inches lower, the soundstaging now appears to be at ear level.

Good Luck & happy experimenting!

Tweeters on the a-pillars are too far from the door speakers, they sound better mounted in the doors closer to the speaker IMO this has been true for any car I've owned
