So i just bought my S this past weekend. At first i was under the assumption that i had "just" a headunit.

Welp, upon more investigating i noticed that though the little hole where my tweeter used to be on the passenger door (more on that later -____-) i noticed i have dynamat on my door's. But not only my door's, its also underneath all of my trunk carpet/plastic's in where the spare tire used to be, and im assuming maybe even on the floor? I'll have to check on that one, one day.

So, i have a JVC KD-R800 Headunit (Garbage...i know). This was a given. I saw the dynamat and figured "hmm, wonder if i have aftermarket door speaker's too?" DING DING, i do in fact have door speakers. They look like Pioneer 3-Way 6 1/2's (Again...Garbage) Blue cone...3 tweeter style little speakers...etc.

So now im wondering if maybe I get a small amp for the door speakers..could they possibly sound better? I mean..they sound pretty pathetic now, and the louder it goes the worse they sound. (but not like a blown sound...more of a "not enough power" sound) What would you guy's recommend for a small amp, just for the front speaker's?

I know they arent that great. And actually, they look just like the ones THIS guy used. So maybe 180w x4ohm's? Dunno.

All I know is that the power my pathetic HU is putting out isn't nearly enough. Link to the HU's info. Look how sad that power rating is..lol Headunit

Anyway, if you guy's could give me some info on what kind of amp i should grab, and maybe even some link's too them? That would be great.

But also, while im in here....anyone know how to mount the stock tweeter's? When i bought the car, i noticed it was missing the tweeter (big gaping hole in my door, lol) and i found it in the secret compartment. Anyone know how to mount these back up? or am i stuck with a giant hole in my door. (for reference, they aren't even hooked up, i just want to get rid of the huge hole...lol)

For the holes, just remove the door panel. There are two little screw holes on the backside of the door panel on either side of the tweeter hole that you mount the tweeter to. There are too many threads to count in this subforum alone on which door speakers other people have bought. Do a little browsing and I'm sure you'll be just fine.
