I forget who, but a guy on this board actully cut holes and installed 10" subs under the seats. He cut the metal work out, installed the subs and then welded new plates around them(thesubs) it was totally crazy.
yeah, i remember that one.... it really was crazy....

ummm... seriously, cannot remember who did it, but it was the same guy who was selling the VAFC radio door mounts...

he seriously reduced the road height clearance of the S when he did it, and he used a very specialized sub for that application as well -- one w/ the magnet structure located above the cone.

all in all - there's not much room under the seats. so, your options for subs under there are severely limited.

I just bought a set of Aura Pro Bass Shakers marketed under Alpine's name. Those along with 4 midbass should give me the feeling of a few big subs right?

They fit under the seats fine. Mine are mounted to the floor but I'll be moving them to the seats in the future. I have decent door speakers and a 10" sub in the cabin and still think the bass shakers are worth having.

Just saw these at a local store- and they're avail on crutchfield.

Blaupunkt ODw120

May be able to work with a slight seat lift??
Says they can work in a "free air" application- I have never heard of that.
