apparently, i was talking to a sound guy and because the s2000 is topless, u will lose pretty much all teh bass when the top is down, with the top up, its better as there is a "cabin" to contain the bass

free air means that it uses the boot of the car as a box, will not work in the open tho

yeah tactiles seem to be the only good option for that extra omph when the top is down (majority of my driving)

for those who have asked, yes you do need an amp. the ones i got are rated at 50W RMS each, so you'll need a 50x2 amp. I'm getting the A/D/S P850.2 50x8 amp, which will power my front components (200WRMS), Rear components (100WRMS), and the tactiles, (100WRMS).

Well if you made a small custom box then this should only take away 3" of leg room. It only requires .5 cubic feet anyway.

r we talking about legroom or under the seat room, cos the thickness of the box is gonna be too much
