I can't tell you about this one in particular, but in Japan most of the new radar detectors have a GPS system which allows you to store known traps and the like.

I don't have mine yet but friends who have them swear by them!

If the "anti-falsing database" allows you to set areas that always set the detector off and this prevent it from going off in that area, it sounds like a great idea to me!!!! Certain places have such a high output of radio transmissions that they will always set off you detector. to be able to block these areas would be a great benefit !

 

Moving to electronics

 

Is there anymore experience out there with the Uniden GPSRD radar detector? I am interested in it, but Uniden is not exactly an electronics brand I trust much.

Anyone have any first hand experience with this?

i thought those gps function were fun

and i ended up with the escort passport 8500

at least i know the passport works very well as a detector
