Default Using key remote to open trunk lid

My wife has a 98 accord with remote key trunk lid opening option. Can we do this to our cars. I know we have the option button on our remote keys. Can that be used. Has anybody done this???

If your car isn't doing it something is wrong. It comes standard with the s2000.

Ok now I feel like an A$$! But I did notice that the trunk only opens an inch high. I have the rear OEM spoiler.

Actually there is a thread going on about the opening. Mine opens about 2-4 inches with the OEM spoiler. SOme people only open an inch with it. It can depend on if you got the stronger springs installed when the OEM spoiler was installed, but doesn't have to be the reason. Anyway, noone's opens up all the way. Basically it unlatches the trunk.

Have you found the secret compartment yet?

How high mine opens depends on if I've lubed the rubber molding within the past year or so. I would suggest a stronger spring.

However, unlike Accords, opening the trunk with the key when the alarm is set is a rude awakening.

It only needs to pop up just enough to release it from it's latch and 1" is enough. If you want it to go all the way to the top, by a luxo-boat.
