I was not aware Fiberglass does not block the sensors, if that is true then you're setup is perfect.....hmmmmm

The car is coming together nicely, I remember what you did with the radio mount and now this, very impressive

I'm revamping my interior right now as well with new electronics so tryin to find creative ways to mount everything. My only thing is I will not sacrifice any storage space of cup holders since those are invaluable to me!

Yes, it is confirmed that fiberglass/plastic will not effect radar performance at all. Metal can block it however. Laser needs a perfect line of sight, and is marginally able to detect it even then.

Here is a quote from the Valentine website:
http://valentine1.com/lab/MikesLabRpt2.asp

"REAR-LASER DETECTION would be hurt by tint films on rear and side windows, at least in theory. V1's rear-laser performance is by far the best in the industry, but don't expect too much from it. When you're shot in the back, you're moving away, so the shooter's best shot is his first one. If he fails to get a reading on his first shot, you're so lucky you don't need a laser detector."

For that reason, I don't think I will end up going with the window in the rear. The front sensor has an unobstructed view however.

I had thought about that, but I am not a sponsor, so I could not do it legally on this site. If there seems to be a demand for a few to be made, I will either look into getting a one month GB sponsorship or see if John (darkknight1999) would be willing to sell them under his buisness. Of course I would have to give him a portion of the profits. We will see as this progresses.

any pictures of the front, ie, looking through the windshield to the V1? how visible is it? just the little sensor window?

i would definitely be up for one of these.

Wow did you mold that remote into the top wheel cover? That looks cool, especially with the color led's.

Yes, it is molded in. I had to slim the V1 remote display down and make the plug come out the rear instead of the side so that it would fit into that space. some guy on ebay charges like $80 to do this slimming down crap! I think I am going to order the LEDs and start changing the colors on them for people too.
