Vafc II
I am going to be purchasing vafc II sometime this week. My question is how much power can I expect? Also how hard to install? last i would like to tune it myself if possible? I've done some search on the forums and have seen some aggresive settings for the vafc II.. I have an 2002 s2k with Dc header, Aem V2 intake (CAI), Berks test pipe, and n1 catback exhaust.. All help is appreciated..
Gains for your MY02 will be less than a MY00-01 because the ECU is already leaned out a bit. Most gaines will be through the mid-range, not much up top (as is the case with MY00-01). You might want to research it a bit more. Our car has a MAP instead of a MAS, so the only VAFC setting that will "stick" and the ECU will not adjust to is the WOT setting (where most gains are realized anyways), all other settings will be adjusted by the ECU (MAP sensor is further downstream than a MAS, which a VAFC works beautifully with).

It is a common thing for N/A cars. I would not expect much more than 5-10rwhp increase over your stock tuning - MY02-03 (depending on support mods already done...intake, header, TP, exhaust, etc.).
Just do a search and you will find some more info. There is an additional plug-n-play harness that is like another $100 or so, but no soldering into the main harness. I am probably going to pick one up, but just because I have the 1st gen ECU. You will need an individual tune. You can find some settings on here, that can serve as a baseline until you can get it to a dyno. I would NOT recommend using anyone else's settings, as each car is different.

Well seeing as though you installed all those parts before a baseline dyno run you won't even know if you have gains from the VAFC or any of the other items you installed
You should take all that stuff off return it to stock baseline it, and then put everything back on... I wouldn't, because its going to be less than 10hp which you can barely even notice. This is not a Civic
