Default Viper 3303 Installation

I am planning on purchasing the Viper 3303 Sysyem for my 06 S. The reason I chose this one is because I have no need for remote start but need the security. The car is stored during the winter and during the summer the way I cool down my car is to drop the top. Besides what comes with the kit I will be adding the prox alarm and will be very precise on calibration for the whole system and the installation process. I have everything planned out but my two biggest issues come with the Door locks and Trunk Release. I am getting conflicting stories on whether or not I need relays for this. DEI's site says there is built in relays for the door locks and trunk release, others say I need to buy them seperately. I know the doors unlock seperately with the oem fob. One push = Driver door, 2 = both doors. Can someone provide me with the accurate info on this, who else has this particular system. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Two things:

First The door locks do require relays. Ussually the viper units come with one 5 wire door lock relay kit. You will either need another one of those or an extra relay. And yes the trunk release is a positive trigger so you will need a relay for that too.

Second Proximity sensors are crap; You will never have a perfect calibration. The reason why, the heat. Proximity sensors change the bubble it puts around your car depending on how hot it is, just like metal expanding. Thus some days you are going to have a prox that works well and other days the prox will go off when you walk next to the car.
Only way around it is if you tune the prox to a very small bubble. Downside is that the alarm wont go off till there really inside the car.

Ok so after a long night of research it looks like I can use the 451M 5 Wire relay module in place of have 2 for the door locks, so that problem should be solved. Secondly I will need a relay for the trunk like you said, but am not sure which one to get the DEI 8616 appears to be what I need. Correct me if am wrong. The only thing left is, I will have two wire coming off the relay that go to the actual lock/unlock wires. One goes to lock and the other will have to be shared between the other 2 for the progressive locks to work. Diode isolation is what it looks like I will have to do correct? The passenger door looks like it needs 2 pulses to open. Or if I don't isolate I can wire the unlock wire to both and set the alarm to double pulse and just open them both all the time, or not have progressive locks. I plan on drawing up a diagram today and I will post it. You can look it over and it may be helpful to others in the future.

You can use the 451M to control the door locks. There are 3 empty pins in the keyless entry module. one by itself and 2 that are side by side. The two that are side by side are the door locks. Take a piece of wire, fold it back and insert into one of the empty slots and plug it back into the keyless module. Touch the other end of the wire to a good ground, it should either lock or unlock the doors (when testing, you may have to hold the handle out slightly bc of the door lock safety feature). Do the same for the other empty slot. The only wires from the 451M you'll need is the blue, green, and purple(s). Ground the purple wire(s), and hook the door lock/unlock wires up. if for some reason you get the lock and unlock backwards, just swap the green and blue wires around. Doin tit this way, you won't need to double pulse to unlock the passenger door. This will lock and unlock both door every time.Hope this helps.
