Default Viper 5000

I have a viper 5000 alarm system but its not the remote start version. I was wondering if the one I have has a turbo timer built in. And if does, is there any way of setting it up? I asked because the place where I had it installed (a few years ago) and they said it will take a couple of hours at $85/hour. I don't want to end up paying that much in addition to purchasing more parts because I have the NON remote start version. At that point I rather buy a turbo timer for less than $100 and install it myself.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure you don't have turbo timer. Remote start models all have hook ups to the ignition and accessories to keep everything going while the key is out. Non-remote start models just have a single wire hookup to the accessory so you can wipe out the memory if the alarm was set off. You need all the additional wires to keep important things running, such as radiator/condensor fans and such.
