Default Viper alarm system issues

Hey guys,

I bought an 2000 s2000 with a viper alarm system already equiped. Not sure exactly what specifically the model of the alarm is, but the key fob is similar to 7756v.

Yesterday, the key fob ran out of battery (completely died), so I had to charge it up again. When I did, it seems like the car and the key had desynchronized. The key fob (now fully charged) unlock and lock do not work, and when I try to unlock my car with my key, (obviously) it sets the car alarm off.

So I tried to repair the key to the control center (the flashing blue light on the windshield of my car), very similarly to this guy (same key fob):

However, there are a couple things different. The control center doesn’t seem to respond to the (short press, long press) “enter pair mode”. The blue light is constantly blinking in intervals of three, which leads me to think it still thinks that it’s paired with the key fob. (Keep in mind while doing this, the alarm is constantly going off). The car cannot be turned on, and it’s stuck where I parked it.

How do I reset the control center so that my key fob can re-pair with the car? Is that even the issue?

Thank you so much for the help, the issue and the car alarm are both giving me a headache.

Your multi-car option on the fob may have rotated. Make sure it indicates "1" --- by yellow arrow. If not, rotate using "P" button on back. At least, this is how it works on my Viper 7345V remote key fob.

Sorry for worn-out key fob.
