Default Water & moisture?

If gonna put a thousand dollar pair of speakers in my doors and i hear by cutting the plastic to install them you expose them to water from rain.... I live in Miami so rain comes from all directions. How can i effectivly protect them? If any one has pics that's a plus... Thx

XTC Baffle is what I used. I trimmed most of it however. What's left serves as an umbrella from water coming down. Not trimming the baffle will negatively impact the sound quality.

My Polk Momos are Marine certified - in the event it rains in my car or water gets inside the door, the speakers are somewhat waterproof.

That I did not know. I also run Polk Audio Momo Carbons, but I am using an XTC Baffle.

A piece of plastic bag caulked along the top half of the speaker basket does a great job... you don't need to surround the entire thing, just prevent water dripping from the window from hitting the speaker.

And it's practically free!
