I wouldnt buy anything except for cheap stuff like carpet from sounddomain and crutchfield.....

They sell retail, and well...retail is for suckas.......
Okay...well I thought he was asking about websites to see people's finished stereo installs...but anyway...

You're aware that sounddomain.com will price match just about anyone, right? And not just match...but beat. On their front page, they've got more details of their 105% price guarantee. Thezeb might not match an unauthorized dealer but sounddomain will.

Anyhow, here's the list of where I've gotten all the stuff for my most recent install along with my rating of the dealer based on 5 stars:

My beater Integra

Blau San Jose - thezeb *****
TB W8-740c sub - nuera-acoustic.ca ***** (Order from w/in the US and they ship from California)
Vifa p13's - madisound ***** (Very helpful even if you don't order from them)
LPG 26NA tweets - solen.ca *** (stupid slow-shipping Canadians...but you gotta love that exchange rate)
Crossover parts - partsexpress ***** (so very fast)
PA P450 - original manufacturer ZedAudio@aol.com ***** (Can't beat picking it up at the factory )
Wiring parts (that's right...I make my own wires now ) - MCMElectronics **** (Almost no communication but pretty quick)

And here's where I like buying stuff in general:

Decks - thezeb because they pricematch etronics and have more of the deck brands I want than etronics
Amps - Zedaudio@aol.com, nexxon, sounddomain
Speakers - adireaudio, partsexpress, madisound, solen.ca, nuera-acoustic.ca
Wiring: MCM for DIY, knukonceptz otherwise

the selection at thezeb is a little limited but i like them because they're in NC and stuff gets to me in one day here in VA

they also have the occasional nutso deals like the current CDT 61a for $150!

i like sounddomain because their service is almost as good as crutchfield and the PM policy is very liberal and easy. you don't even have to call it in like you would with crutchfield, they have a webform to submit price match requests. Both of my amps I bought at sounddomain, one pricematched to onlinecarstereo (discounted $90) and one pricematched to etronics (discounted $130). They PM'ed even though neither dealer was an 'authorized' one.

PokS2k....

I didnt mean that the goods are stolen.....it was just a figure of speech....."off the truck" Fast and the Furious style.....

Just that I have always been amazed at how they sell a BRAND NEW IN THE BOX SEALED item for half of wholesale.....just dont know....I would never knowingly buy stolen goods. I believe Karma is a bitch and I would never do it.

just as an fyi: WAY low prices don't always have to equal stolen.

as i understand it from a friend of mine who used to work deep inside Pioneer - there is a portion of the grey market primarily in big port towns that consists of equipment that is purchased overseas in poorer countries where the dollar is stronger, and then privately shippped (vs via manuf.) to the US, where it can be sold WAY lower than wholesale here. sometimes this gear is A stock, but often it's B stock which didn't pass the upper tier of QA/QC.

FYI...

I bought my Phoenix Gold Tantrum 600.4 amp through SoundDomain.com. I pricematched them with OnlineCarStereo.com; original price was $529, got it for $329.45!!! Since SoundDomain.com is a true Authorized Dealer of Phoenix Gold (verified by contacting PG directly), and having my local dealer install it, I now have a three (3) year warrantee on the unit, while saving nearly $200!!! Go figure!

FWIW, this unit was a "Grade-A" unit, not a refurbed or "Grade-B" one.
