weird part found in doors during speaker upgrade?
I was upgrading my stock door speakers over the weekend (put in some Inifiniti Kappa 6.5s) and found a little white plastic piece laying in the bottom of both of the doors. It is about 2 inches long, about 1/2 inch thick, and has some rubber and felt on it. It's obviously some kind of window component, but without taking the plastic sealer sheet off the door and looking around to see where it might have come from, I'm unsure as to exactly what it is. Can anyone identify this component and tell me if it needs to be reinstalled? For all I know, it's been laying in the bottom of the doors forever, and the latches, locks, and windows do seem to work fine.
I can try to get a picture posted if no one can id this thing from the description...

I agree it's part of the window mechanism, but I'm not sure exactly where it goes.
I had one of them turn up in my driver side door immediately after the dealer repaired the auto-down by replacing the motor assembly. I've had the door panels off often enough to know it wasn't there before the repair. I was initially concerned that they left something out and the window would rattle or jam, but it's 75k miles later and there have been no ill effects.
Maybe it's a part left behind when the car was assembled. I've found two fasteners in my car that appear to be "extras", perhaps left where the factory worker dropped them.
