Listen...this is going to a side I didnt want to see. No need to take everything to heart.
First, Anjira....go to streeteffectz.com and youll get all the info you need.
Second....I have never bought anything from the manufacturers listed before, but I have bought directly from some of them before. I have bought from Infinity, JL and Xtant before. (directly).
Third....granted, when I test speakers I do not play 50 cent, but I play music that allows you to look and test most frequencies. I use for example robert miles "children". Great highs, moderate lows (as you know I hate block shaking bass) My friend (not very smart in car audio) demanded that I turned his gains all the way up. So I did (he wanted it to be as loud as possible. )
Then I popped in the CD (for EQ purposes) and started to work. He was standing outside the car with the remote....He tried to be funny and turned the HU one notch away from max.....My ears almost bled.....But then I listened to it....and the piano was coming in clear and crisp. The only distortion that I could hear was a slight ground noise....but other than that, nothing else. Now, I am not a salesperson for phoenix gold, nor do I have a relationship with them....but I do praise a good product when I come across one, and I speak the truth. I have no reason to lie to anyone and provide false info. I admit, there are many of you who know more than me, but what I know, i KNOW. No I didnt test the volts on the speaker terminals, No I do not have a graph, but the music was so loud, you know it was pushing a lot of power. I am going to his house this weekend and want to see if I can crack a glass with just highs. Ill videotape it....
Oh, and PJK3....just in case you want to know the setup....

NFRs2000NYC - Any custom speaker installs for better sound imaging? Do you have any pics of your system? I'd love to see how you arranged everything. Nice setup by the way...at least on paper

I would really like to see some pics of the install he listed. Unless it is in an Escalade or the likes it must be a tight install.
I have only seen one Da Vinci amp install in person - it was at the CES in Vegas at the Soundstream booth

Ha ha....speedfreak....i wish I could afford a system like that....(my friends daddy is loaded beyond belief and gives his $$$ for everything)

Anyway, my friend is on vacation, but I will give you the basic layout.....
subs are sunken all the way back to the back seats......with the cones facing the tailights.........
That leaves about 2.5 feet from box end to bumper (on the floor.))
That davinci amp isnt that big as it is deep. That thing is really deep. We just made a false floor (trunk space is less than an s2000 with 2 dead bodies now)
So the davinci is like all the way on the "top" of the trunk......brax's are skewed on the sides and the alpine processor was put onto the trunk lid.
Wlaurent.....I agree, its tite as hel back there now.....but it does fit. I had a davinci in my TL before it got stolen. So I vowed never to put stuff like that in my car again, (I dont have a garage and...well.....NY is NY)
I actually thought about it the other day....
The davinci can be had today for like 1400 bucks....THats not too bad considering its enough to power the entire system....
Right now I am trying to sample the brax components....as Modifry put it....sound is only as good as what produces it......so I might take a dive and get the Brax components.....
I will ask my boy to take pics as soon as he is done with the install....I did everything, but unfortunatelly, I do not know how to work with fiberglass...so he has got to get it one elsewhere.
Also, yes PJK3.....my friend doesnt know sh!t about car audio just has $$.....so hell go into a place and say something like "here 10K, give me the best stuff you got" I will also take your advice and read up on the fundamental of sound. Thanks....

I wish I had a tree in my backyard that grew 100's, but alas, I must mix those drinks in hopes that in return, I may or may not get a dollar tip.
But dont fret....we drive s2k's, a better car than 99% of whats on the road today anyway, So when you are feeling down, just think of all those suckas with the cavaliers...
