Default What could possibly went wrong ?

Hello audio gurus

I bought my alpine 9887 and sps 600c components a few months ago. Since I didn't have enough budget for amp and sub. Last month I bought an amp MRP-F300 (4 channel amp ) and an 8 inch sub with rockford fosgate amp wiring kit from a member here.

I installed everything all by myself since I want to learn about my car and didn't want to take it to the shop. Everything works fine but there is only one problem with it that it keeps draining my battery when I leave my car OFF overnight. So is there anybody that ran into the same problem and figured out the solution that can help this noob out =]

Thanks in advance

Ryan,

Where did you connect your remote wire for the amp?

I cut the half blue/white wire behind the headunit and used electric tape to connect it with the blue wire from the amp

not quite sure what your problem is, but definitely go back and redo all your wires

using electric tape to splice wires is cutting corners. Just get some wire splicers for $3 at walmart, it's so easy

Perhaps a better battery is the best option?

I did use wire splicer to splice the wire. I used pnp harness from modifry too. So the only wire I had to splice is blue/white wire to connect with the blue wire from amp.

I just recently had my key cut and programmed at Honda and they tested my battery. They replaced with a brand new battery since my battery failed the test. Also my amp led lights are always on, even when my car is OFF.

If you think all of your wiring is correct then maybe there is a problem with your amp. Make sure your amp turns off when you turn the HU off.

That's what I'm thinking too. Could it be the amp that draining out my battery ? Is that possible ? Or is it the fuse on the red power cord from amp to battery ? And I'll try to see if the amp turns off if I turn my headunit off
