I am not sure if I am going to build a 100% MDF, 100% Plexiglass 1 or a mixture of both. How thick should the MDF be and How thick should the Plexiglass be if I am running around 300-400rms watts through a 10" sub.

always use 3/4" MDF for box building. I would think you'd need atleast 1/2" plexiglass

Cameron, based on your PM's and some of your threads.....I notice you are a novice in the car audio world. Take this not as an offense, but as an education.

To answer your question, in your PM, you told me you want to keep the system at about 800-1000 dollar budget.

Now, to build a box out of plexi.....

Can it be done??? Without a problem
Will it look good??? It will look great
Will it sound good? Itll sound great too.

How much will it cost? over $700 for the box alone. I have previously built an all plexi box, and although its all of the above, plexi is VERY expensive. the 3/4 inch sheet I used in my friends system was almost 150 bucks, and I got that through a connection.

So, to sum it up, you can do the top of the box (the sub face) plexi, but the rest mdf.
