What else do I need?
darkknight1999 mentioned speaker wire in his how to.
"Speaker wire (4 conductor wire is best and easiest to run)"
now I don't understand. how will this wire benefit me?? i need wire running from my amp to my crossover in my components. don't i just need two wires to connect this not four?? thanks.

you need two conductors leading to each crossover, and then two
conductors leading from the crossovers to each woofer and tweeter.
If your crossovers are in the doors, you only need to run two conductors
from the amp to a door, but if you put your crossovers in the trunk, as
John has done, you'll need to run four from the crossovers to each door.

ah okay figured it was somethin like that. quick question before i go cuttin chunks outta the boots in my firewall, is this something you have to do? I noticed how tight the boots are on the OEM wiring do you have to cut it or drill it a little to get the line through?
I ran a 4ga power wire through the grommet behind the battery and down
the passenger side by simply unwinding the electrical tape covering the
grommet, then lubing with wire with cable lube (available in the electrical
dept. of Home Depot) and pushing it through the existing opening of the
grommet - no cutting necessary.

oh nice alright ill give that a try.
Is it better to solder the speaker cable to the speakers or get the little connectors?
And how did you get the 4guage into the amp? the little clip is tiny, did you get a little clip for it or something? am I missing something? lol

Hmm, you might want to get a distribution block, 4 guage -to- 8 guage.
But then you'll need to score some 8 guage wire and some spade terminals.
its all $$ in the end.
I used crimp terminals for mine, however, I also filled in any voids with solder to get a good connection.

No, the distribution has a hole/cylinder for a 4-ga wire so no crimps were necessary. I really doubt you'll find a 4-ga crimp that'll fit into the amp terminal. Its possible you could hack one tho but I wouldn't reccomend it, just imagine if by chance that 4 guage wire got loose and zaps you in the footwell before the main fuse burns. Possible, yes... likely... ?
yes the bluetooth should work thru the speakers, ill tell you how i like it once i get it all installed.
Question of the moment is I just purchased a battery terminal that has 2 4guage outputs and 1 8 gauge output. Anyway he said i should just strip the wire back and put the bare wire in the terminal. is this right? or is there an end i should put on the amp wire before putting it into the terminal?
