Default what exactly does "sirius ready" mean?

my Alpine CDA-9883 says "sirius ready" on it and i was looking into getting sirius radio, so i was wondering what all i would need to buy if my radio is already "sirius ready"?

i tried searching here, and on the internet yesterday and the answers i got yesterday seemed pretty wishy-washy. some people said all i would need is sirius antenna and to activate the service, then some said id need a sirius tuner, antenna, and the service. i dont want to buy anything i dont need to buy, so i figured id ask.

It just means the radio is capable of controlling sirius. You still need a tuner. They have changed it up a bit this year. You will need a KCA SC100 plus a SCC1 to make it work. Or if you can find a SIR-ALP still floating around.
