I ran my Alpine Full-Speed cable (thought it was a KCA-420i but doesn't have the splitter noted in his pic) similar to bighead's pic but I didn't go in the back. I find there is just exactly the right amount of space to the side of the hinge to go in from the end of the tunnel cover with no cutting at all. I may be stressing the cable too much but I don't open that door very often.

 

i got an ipod nano... its tucked away in the net in the passenger foot well.. I control it through the head unit so need to get to it apart from remove it when locking up the car... 8gig is enough for me.. i have another nano in the house which i swap over with new playlists.

I keep mine in the glovebox. I like the idea of having it in the door, but I the Itouch that I have is too long with the cable attached so it just hangs out inside the glovebox.

Oh and mine is attached to the Alpine 9883 HU.

 

I have my iRiver h320 in the storage bin in front of the passengers knees(the "glove box"). I ran the aux-in cable through a small hole drilled in the side of the bin(very easy mod). The player is not visible with the black color and shadows in that part of the car.

everyone i know just puts it on their lap and then stores in the center consol

 

I also have mine in a black case you you don't even notice it through the net.

 

You know, the 2 compartment shelf below the dash. Your '06 has one right? An Ipod fits perfectly into it and practically disappears due to shadows and the black color of the shelf.
