Nope..you can

Its not as bad as you'd think. The sub moves a lot of air around and plus its very insulated from the heat under the fiberglass panel. Fiberglass doesn't hold the heat like metal does, plus its hollow and the amps sit off the rack about 1/2 inch also so it should be good.

Actuators are definitely the way to go! I am still amazed after seeing Matt's (redrice) car in person!

Darkknight: I was looking at my car tonight and had the same idea that you used to install your amps. I have inherited a Phoenix Gold M-44 that is a little cumbersome to install in this car. The amp is white, and my car is white, and the underside of the lid would look really good when it was open.

What exactly did you use to make the amp rack? How did you attach the amp rack to the trunk? I am a little worried about damaging the trunk lid by hanging a heay amp from the lid- I can just imagine the top of the lid buckling after I slam the trunk closed a couple of times!

I would appreciate any help you could offer.
