whine
This is sort of an extension of the threads at https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=245150
which I believe I might have been rude taking the thread to an unintenbtional direction (I am sorry I did that) .
Anyway, I still have whine after installing the KNU RCA's recommened. I believe many may have whine so I am going to document my fix (when it comes) to benefit anyone else. 4 Gauge power is along far right side of passenger; RCAs are along right side of Driver on left of console uner carpet. I also grounded the headunit back to where the amp are grounded. The whine is more present when the AC is on and increases with engine RPMs but does not get louder with higher volumn. I need to unplug the RCAs to see if I still get it plus I am going to see if the help at crutchfield works

Otherwise my all but completed sounds make me happy and with tuning more so I bet
MB Quarts PCE 216s up front with Crossovers under dash
SPods Cyrstal CPE 50s Crossovers underneath the SPods
JL 8 inch woofer in passenger foot well custom box
Alphine 9815 grounded to where the Amps are
RCAs KNU as recommeded by the first link herein
AMP#1 Audiobahn 60004T driving speakers 75RMS * 4 - 4 ohm
AMP#2 MTX 282 driving woofer 75RMS * 2 - 4 ohm
Amps in spare tire (see [ URL=https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=246919]https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=246919[/URL] ) and grounded to that bracing to the left and at bottom of spare tire level area after sanding some paint away

What is the amp grounded to? What kind of amp are you using and much power does it have?
I just installed my stereo 2 weeks ago. The amp (Nakamichi PA-1002, only a 2x50W RMS amp) is grounded to one of the bolts holding the drivers seat. Power is coming directly from the battery. The head unit (Alpine 9827) is grounded and powered as the factory head unit was. No alternator whine with lights, AC, and defroster.

Have you tried disconnecting the power to the sub amp or tried hooking up the head unit power and ground to the factory connections?
the headunit is hooked up to the same ground as the amps - before that the headunit ground was connected to the factory harness (and had whine - maybe even more)
I have not tried to unhook the sub amp except for the fact it was recently installed and the system whined before that - but wish to know where you were coming from unhooking the sub amp.
Have you tried installing a capacitor at the battery terminals? Actually, the best place for it would be near the power to your amp. I don't even think you need one of those 1F caps; just get a 10uF electrolytic or two and connect them from DC power to GND at the amp power input. Just be careful with electrolytic caps; they are polarized and will short out if not installed in the proper orientation. Once shorted they may explode.

Ground loop isolation is the main cause of whining coming through your speakers. From what I've read, you seem to be doing things correctly. Who installed this? These are issues that the installer should be fixing not you. The thing you should do is look very closely at the ground point you chose. If I understand you correctly, you chose to use one of the two bolts that are behind the spare tire covering. I also used that location. I haven't had whine with the completely aftermarket setup I have. You should probably get one of the star washers that actually dig into the metal when the bolt is tightened, this will ensure the best contact. Are you running your door speakers off of the HU? If so, like the other guy recommended, more or less disconnect the amplifier (pull the fuse and remove patch cords)
