I'm just wondering what comapny makes the stereo system (speakers, head unit). It's pretty good for a stock system....

Clarion makes it for the '05, and for the '04 as well I believe. I don't know who makes the speakers.

Actually I was thinking the same thing at first, but the sound got really crappy really fast... or maybe it was just my imagination. So i'm upgrading.

It only sounds good until you listen to something better. I thought my old home stereo system sounded good until I got into high end equipment.

I really hope you are kidding. First thing I did to my car was to swap the deck and speakers.

BTW, I'm selling my steering wheel radio control interface if anyone is interested.

Hey, it's all a matter of what your ears like. If it sounds good to you, that's fine. Don't change a thing.

Bear in mind though, the stock system can be easily upgraded for not a whole lot of money. An upgraded system will play louder, with more clarity, and with more punch to your music.

Compared to some systems (both stock and upgraded) I've been privileged to listen to, our stock system is pretty muddy and low powered. Gotta figure though... I've been listening to loud rock n' roll for a long time, and my high frequencies are probably deteriorated a little.

There is good bass, and overall your average listener won't complain too much. If you listen closely though, the sound definition is extremely poor. Part due to deck, part due to speakers.
