Will this do? Boston w/ Eclipse
I have a set of Boston ProSeries 6.5s that I got for a good price. I also have an Eclipse 33240 amp (110W x 2) that I was going to use for a sub a long time ago in another car. Will this setup yield some good sound and will it fit well? I'm planning on getting the new Alpine 9815 deck.
Thanks,
Richard

Yes, that setup should work fine. I have the 6.5s and they sound quite good, and they sound better with more power, very solid midbass at higher volumes.
Also, note that the latest model 6.5s are actually a 3 Ohm set, which means you'll extract more power from the amplifier than what its rated for at 4 Ohms. Also, you'll need to remove the factory plastic baskets and fabricate some spacer rings for the speaker install.

Pro Series eh? Nice choice...I thought about getting those for the longest time before I settled on my CDT's.
How good a deal did you score on them?
Let me hear them when you're done and we'll compare

Boston Pro 6.5's...I had those installed in my doors. Actually the woofer went in the door, and the tweeters were custom installed in the "a" pillar. I've got them hooked up to the same amp too. It was custom mounted in trunk. They sound great! I'm running an Eclipse in-dash 6 disc changer head unit.
