Default Will a non s2000 OEM honda CD player fit?

Hey-

Since I have a 00, I am never quite sure what time it is. With this being said, on my old EM1 Civic Si, there was a clock in the radio, which would be GREAT for an S2000, and it would retain the OEM look as well (which Im VERY picky about). Will this fit? I think it should since it seems they're the same size, but my main concern is will the dash controls work with it? Could I buy the DCI?

Thanks,
Matt

it's highly likely that it will physically fit.
if it's newer than 1998, the wiring harness is likely the same,
otherwise you'd need an adapter harness made by splicing a harness
that plugs into the car to one that plugs into the radio.
if it's newer than 2000, the dash controls may continue to work, but if
they don't there won't be anything you can do to make them work as
the DCI requires a radio designed for remote control and it probably isn't.
my suggestion? look for a 2001+ s2000 headunit which has a clock,
will plug right in, and are often available pretty cheaply in the "for sale"
forum.

I thought the 2001+ S2000's clocks were only in the speedo area, or did that just change with ap2's? And the 01+ models had the clock on the radio? do ALL 01+ models have a clock on the radio?

The my01-my03 have their clocks in the oem radio. My00 did not have this. 2004+ is when they have the clocks in the cluster gauge.

You can most likely find a my01 radio for about $30-$50 in the forsale forums.
