Wire Mesh Over Subwoofer
I had a custom install done for my subwoofer in the trunk well, after taking out the spare tire tools. But the guy didn't install wire mesh over the sub to protect it from putting stuff on top of it, and now the cloth is sort of "indented," being pushed into the subwoofer.
Does anyone know where I can pick up some strong wire mesh (should be able to hold a bowling ball without bending) and how to install it over the subwoofer? Do I just cut it into a circle and staple it to the sub enclosure (which should be wood, if I remember right)?

Mine is a separate piece, which is nice cause you can take it off for show purposes.
Use a piece of MDF cut out a ring for the grate. Affix the grate to the bottom of the MDF. Then use auto carpet to cover the whole contraption. My grate is slightly raised over the sub. This keeps air moving when my trunk is full (often) and also keeps the sub from getting damaged.
