Default Wireless backup camera at Costco for $79...

Anyone tried this yet? They sell them at costco for your vehicle. It's basically a wireless camera that mounts on your rear license plate (that can be connected to your backup lights). Basically, when you back up, the 2.5" lcd turns on to show you rear view. The lcd can be mounted on your visor or anywhere since it is compact. Everything is wireless. For $79, sounds like a good option considering how much lexus charge for that option. =)

Opinions/reviews welcome.

how much does lexus charge you?? I've seen these cameras in person from the gangsters that come in my shop that already have bought them and have problems with them. Main problem is the are RF - if you live within 5 miles of a radio antenna , or anything that broadcasts rf forget about a good picture.

You get what you pay for. Theres a reason why some cameras are more expensive than others. Wireless cameras are a POS. Fuzzy pictures if you get any at all.

Im not saying I want to back over children, but there are better ways to spend 80 bucks than to put a useless item in a car. We installed a few for customers that brought them in at my shop and they really are horrible. Every customer was very disappointed. Try reverse sensors, or an exhaust, that will scare away anything behind the car. If you really want a cmera, spend a few extra bucks and get something wired.

Best Buy has a wired camera for about 129, it actually replaces ur licence plate frame and has a small hidden camera in it... It has a lense that gives you a wide angle view.

Bad sides
No Screen, (u have to buy one
And well u have to wire it.

or you can get a camera and a new rear view mirror that has a lcd screen built into it for like 299 I believe..

I dont know if there are good prices but i just saw them so I thought i should post.
