WIRING HELP...
have you made sure that you have a good ground connection? I know you used the recommended point, but everyones car is different - make sure you are making good contact with the chassis before assuming it is okay.
is you remote lead connected correctly? from the remote out on the headunit to the remote in on the amp?
have you made sure you stripped the insulation back far enough on the cables when you connected them? most amps require you to push them in a fair way, if you havent stripped enough your set screws may be clamping the insulation.
I know this is sounding silly, but I am trying to think of the basics for you.

ok i tested the ground to the amp and i am getting power to the amp...so obviously the amp is bad....it has to be because the amp is not turning on when i turn on the car....well that is the only thing i can think of....
the amp is a fosgate 2 channel amp the model is a 300s amp. ....
any suggestions guys....im not looking for overly powerful sub...jus some bass to my music...any suggestions on a amp to get that is within reason to push the sub....thanks..

ok....let me try again...bc i checked power was getting to the amp and that was true..now im gonna try to hook up the remote now and see what happens when i turn on the car...if that doesnt work...what could be wrong?
